Tiao began with a simple love for the Karen Hill Tribe's handcrafted pieces. What started as a few rings which we adored has grown into a vision — to share the freedom we found while travelling, through the wearing of each piece.

The Thai word 'Tiao' meaning 'to go out for fun' perfectly sums up our life philosophy and journey so far. This led to the brand motto 'Just for Fun' which we use as a gentle reminder to ourselves that above all else, we are being creative for the sheer love of it.

At the heart of Tiao is the spirit we carried during our adventures in Asia: full of laughter, wonder and courage for new experiences.

Hi, we're Kristan and Noah!

Two novice adventurers who decided to swap the 9-to-5 grind for the thrill of backpacking across Southeast Asia. We spent 6 months travelling and exploring, doing what backpackers do - making some unbelievable memories.

Like, everyone, we just want to squeeze every drop out of this brilliant life we've got. So when the backpacking rollercoaster began to slow, we started searching for the next challenge and adventure - the next way to keep that energy alive.

So this is us taking the plunge into the world of self-employment. More than anything we're doing this for the absolute fun of it and we hope that inspires you to set out on your own journey - whether that means exploring the world or simply finding beauty in everyday life.
