The formidable dog story. Every traveller that got to know me or had the pleasure of being with me more than 20mins, already knows this story. But for those unlucky few, here’s the tale…. Beth and I were meandering around this abandoned park in Ayutthaya in north Thailand. I was on face time to my 2 year old niece and she was showing me her new moana dolly. I look up when I heard barking to see a dog in full sprint, teeth bared, heading straight towards me. My first reaction was to run and scream. It chased me for a good 100m before I managed to get over a wall to get away from its gnashing teeth. I immediately thought from its face that it was rabid and so I was honestly RUNNNING for my life (don’t come at me with advice about the rabies vaccination, I chose not to get it and in that moment instantly regretted it.
