Going travelling made me realize how much of a scaredy cat I really am. I was scared of most animals, especially those stray dogs (if you know you know), the unusual food and the ocean. So the idea of learning to scuba dive was almost laughable at the beginning of my trip. Never fancied it. Never thought I’d do it. It never really crossed my mind. Until we met so many people along the way that had learnt to dive whilst in southeast Asia and told stories of how amazing it was and that we needed to give it a go. It almost began to feel like a right of passage. It needed to be done. Noah being the driving force behind the idea got me on board and we signed ourselves up for a 4 day course on the island of Phi Phi. This is where we met our diving instructor Renzo. A sassy Latina with a devilish sense of humor and a heart of pure gold. He kept me from rage quitting, he kept me calm when I was terrified and he kept us on our toes with his quick wit. It was only fitting to name this fabulous ring after such a fabulous guy.
